Competitions at the University of Sydney provide students with an opportunity to translate their legal knowledge into practical skills. Whether it be honing one’s advocacy skills in the moot court, debating nuanced questions of law before a bench of former High Court Justices, or perfecting the art of negotiations, the Competitions Portfolio offers students a unique insight into the law in action.

The Sydney University Law Society, in conjunction with UTS, Macquarie University and the New South Wales Young Lawyers Special Committee of Law Students’ Societies, has initiated a new intervarsity mooting tournament aimed at addressing the equity issues facing women at the bar.
