ABL's Inside a Deal
Arnold Bloch Leibler will be hosting a “Inside a Deal” session on Thursday 10 August from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm with their Corporate Advisory and M&A team, including Paul Rubenstein (Partner), Tiffany Lucas (Senior Associate), Gavin Hammerschlag (Senior Associate) and Kelly Seo (Lawyer) on the lifecycle of a deal, including an interactive workshop and informal networking. These eminent transaction lawyers played integral parts in RCG Corporation’s $105m acquisition of Hype DC in July 2016 and ECN’s $68.5m spin-off of its Australian business to Ooh! Media in October 2016.

Energy policy and law under the Trump Administration

The AIE is pleased to welcome Professor Lincoln Davies, Presidential Endowed Chair in Law, College Of Law, University of Utah to present on 7 August 2016.
Professor Davies is an expert in US energy law and will provide a detailed consideration of the current state of energy policy and law in the United States as well as potential changes under the Trump Administration, including:
• An overview of US energy policy and regulation, with particular attention to the impacts of competition and environmental law
• An in-depth look at the use of state renewable portfolio standards in the US as a mechanism to promote uptake of renewable energy, and
• An assessment of the impact of the Trump Administration on the US energy markets
Alongside Professor Davies, the AIE is pleased to welcome Kate Phillips, a special counsel in the Environmental Markets team at Baker McKenzie, Melbourne. Kate will provide Australian insights into some of the issues considered by Professor Davies as we also navigate our shifting energy market.
