What we do
The Sydney University Law Society (SULS) aims to enrich the law student experience. It is the primary association for students studying law at Sydney University, and is officially associated with the Faculty of Law.
SULS provides the law school community with a variety events, activities and programs, including social events, educational support, mooting and skills competitions, careers events, sporting functions, and initiatives that inspire students to use the law as an instrument for social change.
Student Support & Wellbeing
A range of mental health initiatives, financial support for events and textbooks, and Queer, Women’s, International, Ethnocultural and First Nations events and programs
Socials and Parties
An opportunity to build friendships and relax, whether it be at law camp, final year dinner, informals, the annual Law Ball, on-campus events or weekly interfaculty sport.
Education & Learning Services
A variety of educational services, including the Education Guide, the textbook exchange, and the ‘Law School Basics’ series.
Diverse careers forums, events and presentations featuring law firms, public sector and non-profit organisations, and the publication of the comprehensive Careers Guide.
A host of internal, intervarsity and international mooting, negotiations, client interviewing and witness examination competitions
A chance to write and get published on topical and interesting issues in publications such as Yemaya, Dissent or the SULS Quarterly.
Volunteering opportunities, the annual Social Justice Conference, and a platform to discuss the interaction of social justice and law.
