About Us

The Sydney University Law Society (β€˜SULS’) is the primary association for students studying law at The University of Sydney and is officially associated with the Faculty of Law. The membership of the society comprises all students in the Faculty of Law proceeding to a degree or diploma (including undergraduate, Juris Doctor and postgraduate students).

As the largest and most active society at The University of Sydney, SULS aims to enrich the law student experience. SULS provides the law school community with a variety of social events, educational support, mooting and skills competitions, careers events, sporting functions and initiatives that inspire students to use the law as an instrument for social change.

History

SULS is the oldest and largest student society at The University of Sydney. Founded in 1902, past Presidents include many judges of our superior courts, including the former Justice of the High Court of Australia, The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG, who served as the first elected student President. The history of SULS is one of stories of distinguished alumni contributing to the student experience during their time at Sydney Law School.
