The SULS x Gilbert + Tobin Tutoring Database helps connect students with qualified tutors.

To become a tutor, you must have received a Distinction or High Distinction in the relevant subject at the University of Sydney, or otherwise demonstrate your suitability. Prospective tutors should apply below. Applications are reviewed by, and enquiries may be directed to, the Vice-President (Education) Arasa, who can be contacted at education@suls.org.au.

By accessing the database, you agree to the following:

  • SULS confirms, where applicable, that tutors obtained Distinctions or High Distinctions in the subjects listed However, SULS does not interview tutors and does not take any responsibility for the level of service or quality of tutoring provided. Dissatisfied students should terminate their tutoring relationship as early as possible.

  • It is up to individual students and tutors to organise details such as meeting places, fees, and the length of tutoring arrangements. SULS recommends that prospective students meet with, or speak to, their tutors before committing to any financial arrangements.

  • The SULS x Gilbert + Tobin Tutoring Database may not be used to facilitate any form of academic misconduct. Students are reminded that they remain bound by university codes of conduct.
